Anyone would want this apartment. How is to live in a state-of-the-art new build?

The Metropolis project in Bratislava’s downtown ranks among the top quality new built locations in Bratislava thanks to its architecture and technological equipment alone. The use approval process is to start in the upcoming few weeks, with a furnished model apartment already available for viewings.

German and Italian quality in every apartment
“Entering the apartment for the first time, I was impressed by its open plan and beautiful views of the surroundings,” says architect Miroslava Rozložník from Compass Architects, who led the realisation of the three-room model apartment. “The property’s layout is compact, the entrance area is reasonably sized, the bedroom and family room offer plenty of storage space. The living room connected to the kitchen is well divided with windows onto two orientations, giving it a very pleasant, open and airy look.”

In furnishing the unit, she appreciated the high quality and standard of the selected elements, be it wooden floors, large-format gres wall and floor tiling, extra high interior doors with non-rebated fittings, or high-quality windows. Wall and floor tiles come from leading Italian brands; in the case of sanitation pieces the developer went for proven German products.

Design lovers will be delighted by the interior and entrance doors from a world-class manufacturer in a stylish modern “threshold-free” version chosen by the developer for this project. The rest is up to the taste and choice of the future owner.

Rounded elements are in trend

The design solution of the model apartment underlines the overall impression of openness and brightness of living in Metropolis.

“With the interior design I wanted to underline this idea. It was to suggest an airiness and lightness, but also a little pinch of the luxury of city living.”

For this purpose light white curtains were used, pleasant fabrics on the sofa furniture or a subtle non-woven wallpaper in the bedroom. Warm wooden elements, as well as a bit of contrast in the individual solitaires enhanced the overall character of the space.

The architect had very interesting ideas for the interconnected kitchen and the living room.

“I went for a somewhat atypical shape of a rounded kitchen island that separates and encloses the kitchen. Thanks to the curves, it creates a better space for movement of people. Moreover, rounded elements are very popular lately.”
New technologies – a furnishing benefit

Metropolis represents the top housing in Bratislava, not just for this location or the quality of its construction, but also for its green technologies that will last for decades. The latter include autonomous recuperation, controlled individually by each unit, including ceiling heating and cooling, which can be controlled remotely and is more beneficial to a person’s health. Regarding the unit’s layout, it is essential that it does not take up any space on the apartment’s floor.

“A space in which there are no heating bodies offers more options for the architect or designer, making large windows also look nicer. Owners will appreciate that the floor convectors do not collect dust,” notes Miroslava Rozložník.

The architect did not have to design the sun shading on the windows, because the standard includes exterior window blinds that can be controlled remotely via an app.

Exterior shading will provide privacy as well as the comfort of living. In the hottest weather, it will be pleasantly cool inside even without air conditioning. In addition to comfort, it therefore represents a significant saving.

There are still apartments to choose from

The developer has not underestimated the surroundings of the building. The Metropolis Park is designed in the style of London and Paris living. It will offer its residents multiple private corners instead of the usual lawn with climbing frames, not forgetting a pleasant view from windows or balconies.

Most of the apartments in Metropolis have already got their new owners, but the developer has kept some of the most attractive ones back for the last phase of the sale. Therefore, there is still enough to choose from and take into account the ideas of individual candidates regarding the size, location or orientation of their new home.
